Many people from around the world visit Mount Athos every year to have a wonderful hiking experience and to explore the beauty of the virgin nature, while they’re in a cultural, historical and religious paradise.

It’s worth walking up to the Temple of Mother Mary, built at about 1.500 meters, where you will find shelter and you will enjoy the wonderful view from the top. You can actually see the Aegean Sea meeting the sky.

From there, you can hike for about 1,5 hour more and arrive at the small chapel of Metamorfosi Sotiros, which is built at 2.033 meters. The view from that point is simply astonishing!
